Shelter Bookings
Make your day at Bulla Hill Miniature Railway even more memorable! From 11am onwards, you can reserve one of our undercover picnic shelters for the entire day – perfect for families, friends, and group gatherings.
🎉 Parties & Celebrations Bulla Hill is a fantastic venue for all occasions, especially children’s birthday parties. We also have a private, enclosed picnic area featuring two coin-operated BBQs and seven picnic shelters.

Toilets and a kiosk are conveniently located at the station.

A children’s playground is right outside our gates in the public parkland.

A large car park is available free of charge.

The Railway Grounds

All aboard for a fun-filled day at Bulla Hill Miniature Railway! Just a short trip from Melbourne, our little trains are big on adventure and excitement for the whole family.
Climb aboard and enjoy a ride through the beautiful Bulla countryside—over bridges, around bends, and past bushland. Kids absolutely love it, and grown-ups can’t resist joining in too (because who doesn’t love a train ride?).
We’ve also got plenty of undercover picnic shelters, wide open spaces, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere—perfect for birthday parties, family gatherings, or just a Sunday outing. Pack a picnic, bring your friends, and make a day of it!
Run by a wonderful team of volunteers, the railway is open on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Ride Tickets are $5, smiles are free, and every ride is a new adventure.

Great and friendly staff and highly recommended for young families. Has a number of shelters for individual parties but need to book on line
Amazing place with enthusiastic, genuine and very friendly volunteers. We have loved this place for a while and ot never disappoints. Had a family birthday here recently and the hospitality is wonderful, extra chairs, own bin and water tap. We and the kids love the trains and all the things you can spot on the trip!
