Our Facilities
We have seven undercover picnic shelters available which can be accessed from about 11:00am onwards. These shelters are very popular and you can reserve a shelter for the day. The fee is $55 to reserve a shelter. Ride tickets can be purchased on the day. Please note that the booking fee is non-refundable. Reservations can be made by filling out our reservation contact form below.
You can bring your own portable gazebos to use in our picnic area. Please ensure that your gazebo can be pegged down securely as it can sometimes be quite windy at Bulla Hill Miniature Railway. You may bring along extra tables and chairs if you wish.
Bare feet are not allowed on our trains
We are located in a large parkland area dedicated to community use. We are between Tullamarine (Melbourne) Airport – 8km after and Sunbury – 11km before.

FREE PARKING
There’s plenty of free parking conveniently located right in front of the miniature railway station, making it easy for families and visitors to access the site. With ample spaces available, it’s simple to hop out, gather the kids, and head straight to the fun. Whether you’re coming for a ride, dropping off excited passengers, or spending the day exploring, the close and convenient parking helps make every visit smooth and stress-free.
BARBEQUES
FREE – There are two push button communal barbecues available in a sheltered area, offered on a first come, first served basis. The BBQ’s cannot be book. We kindly ask that groups cook their meals and then vacate the shelter to allow others to enjoy the facility. Please ensure the barbecues are left clean and ready for the next users.
Guests are also welcome to bring their own portable barbecues to use in our picnic area.
PICNIC TABLES
Tucked within the picturesque council reserve beside the miniature railway, you’ll find three welcoming picnic tables — the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Surrounded by peaceful natural beauty, these sturdy tables make an ideal setting for a picnic, a catch-up with friends, or simply a quiet moment to unwind.
KIOSK
At the heart of the station is the Bulla Hill Railway kiosk — a favourite spot for visitors to grab tasty treats, refreshing drinks, and charming souvenirs. With its welcoming atmosphere and the delicious aroma of fresh snacks in the air, the kiosk is the perfect place to refuel before or after your miniature railway adventure.

COUNCIL ROTUNDA
This spacious undercover area, located just outside the railway gates, is perfect for larger groups. As it is a council-managed facility, Bulla Hill Miniature Railway does not control its use. If you’d like to use the space for a party, we recommend arriving early to secure your spot.
PLAY GROUND
Directly in front of the station building, you’ll find a vibrant and welcoming council playground — a safe, fun space where children can let their imaginations run wild. With colourful play equipment, exciting slides, swings, and climbing frames, there’s something for kids of all ages to enjoy. Surrounded by lush greenery, it’s the perfect spot for little adventurers to run, jump, and explore to their heart’s content.
PUBLIC TOILETS
Conveniently located within the station grounds, the public toilets are easily accessible to everyone enjoying the park and railway. Clean, well-maintained, and equipped with modern facilities, they provide a comfortable and convenient stop for visitors of all ages.
We’re committed to making every visit comfortable for all our guests, including families with young children. To support parents and caregivers, a baby change table is available within the Toilet facilities.
